On a bright and sunny Sunday in late March, we very much enjoyed hosting our Spring Wedding Showcase at The Barn at Botley Hill.
We opened the venue’s doors to all couples booked to celebrate their wedding with us over the next couple of years – an opportunity to bring family and friends (and many four-legged family members) to show them the space and get to know us even better.
This was a time for everyone to explore the venue at their leisure, ask questions at our drop-in clinics and catch up with the team face-to-face.
We invited a select few of our recommended suppliers to attend; they have a wealth of expert knowledge and are always happy to chat through ideas.
To showcase the venue in action, we asked our catering partners Caper & Berry, Lettice Events, Jimmy Garcia and Two Many Cooks to each collaborate with leading wedding florist Mad Lilies to decorate a table in the Main Barn.
Mad Lilies provided a range of stunning table flowers in a rainbow of spring colours, working with our four wonderful catering partners to inspire everyone with beautiful tablescapes and settings. Proving the Barn at Botley Hill is the perfect backdrop to all sorts of styles, designs and colour palettes.
As well as setting the scene with tablescapes, these talented caterers also provided delicious canapés and dessert stations to give our guests a taste of what they can create. We are proud to work with each of them, and it was a joy to introduce them to our couples in person.
In the Oakley Barn, Becka Blanchard sang from the balcony, and Mad Lilies decked the mantelpiece and fireplace with spring blossoms. The perfect, romantic ceremony setting … we saw a couple of misty eyed individuals (and not just our team!).
Venti Pizza positioned their converted horse-box trailer near the gazebo, tempting everyone to try a slice of their amazing Neapolitan-style woodfired pizza. It’s always a popular choice for evening food.
The Duplettes and All Things Nice Entertainment provided music in the Main and Baby Barn, showing what a range of styles and talent we have at celebrations here. The Duplettes help create the perfect duo setting for drinks reception or cocktail hour entertainment in the Baby Barn, or decking in warmer months. All Things Nice Entertainment can offer everything you could need for your day from start to finish, from sax solos to full band or evening DJ.
And while all this was going on, photographer Kit Myers captured the day wonderfully so you can be inspired by these fantastic suppliers even if you weren’t able to attend.
