Our family and friends had a wonderful time. All our suppliers were superlative, Kit the photographer, Two Many Cooks, and Holly and the Dragonfly did not put a foot wrong. We loved every second of Friday. It was the wedding day of our dreams, made possible by you all. As soon as you see the Barn at Botley Hill online, let alone in person, it’s clear that it’s not a normal wedding venue. It’s beautiful, it’s high-spec, and quite literally everything has been thought of and executed stunningly. But it’s not the walking down the drive or even that window that made this such a spectacular place for us to hold our wedding day – it was the people who worked there. The can-do attitude and the unanimous desire to go the extra mile to make our day memorable was there from the very first meeting. We know this is what you do most days of the week (that much is obvious from how professional and calm every member of the team is), but you still managed to make us feel like our day was 100% unique and absolutely ours. Our speeches summed up mine and Jack’s differences: I’m a Type A control-freak and wanted everything to be just-so and perfect; he is so laid back that his number one priority in wedding planning was to make sure it was stress-free. Well, when it came to our wedding day, all I can say was that both sides were beaming throughout – and if that isn’t a compliment and testament to your team and venue, nothing is.

Becky’s entrance down the steps took everyone by surprise in the best possible way. The layout is so clever – the baby barn offers a gorgeous space for the more laid back/older guests, while the main barn seamlessly evolved from a quaint banquet room to a rock concert venue! The bar staff were incredibly efficient and friendly too.
