At the start of 2024, the team at The Barn at Botley Hill had the pleasure of collaborating with several of our recommended suppliers, together with bespoke wedding planner Lucia Penman Events, on a gorgeous styled shoot. This shoot paints a picture of The Barn at Botley Hill as not just a wedding venue, but as a living entity with its own spirit and warmth, nestled within the embrace of the Surrey countryside.
The Barn at Botley Hill is an idyllic stage where every aspect of the shoot is infused with intentionality and artistry. The story unfolds as a coalition of visionary vendors comes together to create a wedding scene that is vibrant and bold, yet retains an air of sophisticated elegance.
Lucia Penman Events orchestrates this experience, leveraging The Barn at Botley Hill’s rustic charm and classic architecture as the foundation for a vivid and stylish celebration.
Anna Lewis elevates the cake from a mere dessert to a conversation piece, its sculptural beauty challenging traditional expectations.
The florals by Jessica Eliza Flowers are not just décor but a vital narrative element, bursting with life and colour, each bloom selected to weave into the elegant tapestry of the day.
The bridal attire is a journey in itself, beginning with a gown of simplicity and grace,
transitioning into a dress of intricate lace and floral appliqués,
and culminating in an evening ensemble that marries the day’s themes. The bride’s evolution in style is complemented by a bouquet that captures the hues of a sunset, delicate jewellery, and a radiant beauty look, all highlighting her natural grace.
The tablescape is a masterclass in attention to detail, where a melody of florals, fruits, and candlelight creates a sensory feast.
The inclusion of fresh fruits and whimsical details like the mirror-mosaic telephone and citrus-themed stationery adds layers of freshness, colour, and texture, underscoring the themes of new beginnings and clear intentions.
Overall, the shoot is an invitation to future couples to dream boldly in colour and to see their wedding day as a chance to blend adventurous choices with refined elegance, creating their own unique celebration of love.
