The chairman of Tandridge District Council, Cllr Jeremy Pursehouse, was on hand for the official launch of The Barn at Botley Hill, Surrey’s newest luxury wedding venue, on Tuesday September 24.
Found at the highest point of the North Downs Way, deep in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, our spectacular wedding venue features floor to ceiling windows, Soho Farmhouse inspired interiors and incredible sunset views.
“I have a big connection with Botley Hill, as all my four children have worked there at some point of their lives and I’ve always loved the ambiance of the place whenever I’ve visited,” says Cllr Jeremy Pursehouse, who attended the launch with his wife Wendy.
“It’s a fabulous place with a wonderful view, and it’s fantastic to see such an exciting new business being brought into the area and creating jobs. As part of my role, I support local nature reserves and have a big interest in the environment, and I think what they’ve done here fits in wonderfully with the surroundings. I hope it’s going to be a very successful venture and part of the community.”
A Surrey wedding showcase
One of our exclusive venue’s trend-setting catering partners, Guildford’s Kalm Kitchen, provided delicious canapés and a cocktail station for the launch event; autumn colours were introduced indoors by Banstead’s Mad Lilies with their flower displays; and DJ Matt Maurice spun a cool retro set on the decks.
It was a fantastic occasion to showcase The Barn at Botley Hill’s two main barns, clad in eye-catching black timber and surrounded by beautiful grounds, plus the newly named red brick Oakley Barn, which will soon be licensed for ceremonies.
